Objective
Design the layout of the literary journal’s pages and oversee the process to its finish. Design front and back covers.

Approach
Forum is a literary journal that is dedicated to providing a platform for the contemporary urban voices of City College. It is a collection of poems, short stories, and visual arts created by people around the Bay Area. The cover image is originally a black and white photograph entitled “Quiver Trees and the Milky Way”, by Constance Louie-Handelman. When given the black and white image for the cover, I overlaid a duotone to add more life and vibrance to the already magical scene. A coworker and I were solely responsible for all interior layout decisions and typesetting. After that, I oversaw the printing process, both interior pages as well as the offset cover, which included a varnish stage.
